A Glimpse into Our Unique Learning Experience

I was born in a remote village Khotang district. Back then, I never thought I would become what I am today.
With the vision of giving back to Nepal, we established YouMe Schools in Khotang and Biratnagar on a non-profit model. I aim to replicate my own story by transforming the future of children who are not as forutunate as most of us today. Therefore, I envision YouMe School (Biratnagar) becoming the finest and largest school in Nepal by 2030, accommodating more than 10,000 students. With these passionate future leaders, we aspire to transform the future of Nepal one day.

Working at Amazon as Area Manager here in Japan was not quite fulfilling job for me. I wanted to do something that created value in the society. When I learned about YouMe School and what it is doing for the community, I already wanted to be there. Working at You Me was an eye-opening journey for me. I learned more about myself here and realized that happiness is all about perspective. The people in this community are enjoying with whatever they have and the school is doing all that it can do uplift the quality of life of these children through education. This is what I like about the school. Thank you for making me a part of the school family. It was really a transformative journey for me to grow as an individual.

We get to learn Japanese language from the beginning of our school days from various Japanese intern Senseis who come to our school. We take international TOFAS tests and other programming tests too. We take two computer based TOFAS tests in one year where we compete with students from all over the world and evaluate our mathematical and logical skills through the MCQs provided on the screen. I like online interaction with our Japanese friends too. They show us their culture and different anime characters and it happens once a month.

I like Python programming language that our school teaches. My school is very different from other schools because we get to learn Japanese from our Japanese teachers. All our classrooms have LCD screens attached for ICT based learning. We have braveboards and other Japanese play materials. There is a beautiful garden that I like to sit and freshen up my mind. There is television from class 5 and I feel safe with CCTV in our classrooms. I like the virtual interaction sessions with experts from Japan, America, and other countries because they give us career advice and guide us to think about our future too. I love my school very much.
